Demonstration | Threat scenario

This demonstrator shows PKI-based authentication for controlling a plant using a hardware security module (SmartCard). Based on the certificate, access rights can be defined in a fine-grained manner. By using the SmartCard, two-factor authentication and protection of the authentication medium (private key) is ensured.

Research Purpose

Demonstrator related to the development and testing of:

  • Various validation mechanisms (online/offline)
  • Use of security tokens (smart card, mobile device).
